Being the caregiver of a person with mesothelioma can take a lot out of you, both physically and emotionally. It is important for you and the loved one you are caring for that you also take care of your own needs.
It helps to know that you are not alone, and that others have experienced, and learned from, many of the same challenges you are going through. There are also resources available in the form of support groups (both online and community-based), non-profit organizations that serve the needs of caregivers, and a variety of on-line resources. You can also find other resources in your community through your local United Way, hospital or cancer treatment center, or local social service organizations.
