About the VCU Massey Cancer Center:
At VCU Massey Cancer Center, we are proud to be one of just 65 cancer centers out of 1,500 nationwide designated by the National Cancer Institute to help lead and shape our nation’s fight against cancer.
VCU Massey offers more clinical trials than any other cancer center in Virginia, which in turn enables us to offer more hope and new treatment options to people with all kinds of cancer.
Our specialized teams focus their intellectual power on each patient. These multidisciplinary teams are organized by unique types of cancer – such as breast cancer, lung cancer or colon cancer – and they include a variety of specialists. Surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists and a host of others meet each week to discuss treatment plans for each patient. This level of teamwork and communication is unparalleled, and it saves patients and their families from visiting a variety of specialists in different locations around town.

Our patients choose the VCU Massey Cancer Center for two key reasons: the treatment options we provide and the cancer specialists who provide them. We offer the clinical services and advanced treatment options that can only be offered at a National Cancer Institute Clinical Cancer Center like ours. Massey is one of only two NCI-designated centers in Virginia, and one of only 65 in the United States.

We have hundreds of cancer specialists serving the needs of our patients. Massey’s clinical and research staff provide a wealth of expertise in cancer diagnosis and treatment, prevention and control, and symptom management.
