About the Hollings Cancer Center:
At Hollings Cancer Center, we offer hope to patients who have all types of cancer. In fact, we see more new and follow-up patients than any other facility in South Carolina. For cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy, radiation (conventional and TomoTherapy®), and surgery, the Hollings Cancer Center is one of the most experienced facilities in the Southeast. We are also a national leader in cancer research.
Multidisciplinary teams are at the core of our treatment approach. We bring together specialists from a variety of clinical disciplines to create an individualized treatment plan for each patient. These specialists gather together to consult with patients in one location, ensuring coordination of care and increased convenience.
We also offer a number of support services to help patients know what to expect during the course of their treatment. Included among our services is a small boutique, The Looking Glass, which caters to the specific needs of cancer patients.
With South Carolina having the nation’s highest rate of esophageal cancer as well as a high rate of lung cancer, the Hollings Cancer Center (HCC) is the place to go for hope. Our surgeons are among the few in the state who devote their practice entirely to general thoracic surgery. We also handle more thoracic cancer cases than most institutions in the state, resulting in some of the nation’s best outcomes.
