About the Altru Cancer Center:
Altru Health System is a charter member of the North Central Cancer Treatment Group (NCCTG) based at the Mayo Clinic, and consists of a network of cancer specialists throughout the country that allows our physicians access to the latest information regarding advanced treatment. This program also allows our patients the opportunity to participate in research treatments at our local facilities. Altru Cancer Center staff and physicians are committed to providing patients throughout the region the best care and support possible. As the most technologically advanced cancer treatment center in all of North Dakota, Altru Cancer Center is proud to call Grand Forks its home.
The medical and radiation oncology physicians at Altru work closely with surgeons, radiologists, and pathologists to obtain the cancer diagnosis and to plan the most effective treatment for each patient. From chemotherapy and radiation therapy to more patient-centered holistic services, Altru Cancer Center physicians and staff offer the best cancer treatment available. Altru Cancer Center also has staff to provide the important supportive care to patients going through cancer treatment. We have a dietitian, social work, oncology resource nurse, cancer registrars, a library with internet access, and American Cancer Society Quality of Life Resource Center.
