The Cancer Center of Indiana brings comprehensive cancer care to southern Indiana that is founded in experience, expertise, and compassion. Through collaboration between the Cancer Care Center and Floyd Memorial Cancer Services, the Cancer Center of Indiana is able to offer patients medical and radiation oncology in one convenient location.
Our experience has enabled us to continually improve our level of treatment and care of cancer and blood diseases. Our experience has helped us introduce new and innovative technology, equipment, and treatment options with confidence. It has led to an expanded team of certified oncology nurses, technicians, and support staff who are highly skilled in their field. Our experience has taught us that compassion is just as important as advanced technology when caring for a patient. And most importantly, it has strengthened our commitment to win the battle against cancer.
Medical oncology and hematology services are offered on the first floor of the Center by a team of five medical oncologists, certified oncology nurses and technicians, while radiation oncology is provided on the Center’s lower level by two radiation oncologists, a certified oncology nurse, a certified medical dosimetrist and several radiation therapists.
In addition to the clinical features, the Center includes a Resource Center that offers patients an avenue for finding reliable information on various cancers and blood diseases. It also provides information on support groups, educational programs, and many other facets of cancer treatment and care. Our Women’s Boutique gives women battling cancer a place to try on wigs and hairpieces as well as locate resources for things such as post-mastectomy apparel.
Finally, the Center is proud to feature an Education Center that can accommodate up to 150 people and often hosts support groups, seminars, and education programs.
