About Illinois Regional Cancer Center:
KishHealth Cancer Care Services utilizes the latest technology in diagnosing and treating cancer. Patient treatment plans are specific to the individual and the type of cancer being treated. Treatments may include a combination of surgery, radiation or infusion therapy such as chemotherapy.
KishHealth System utilizes the latest technology in diagnosing and treating cancer with the use of both medical oncology and radiation oncology services. Comprehensive care is offered through several service entities of KishHealth System, which include the Kishwaukee Cancer Care Center, Illinois Regional Cancer Center and Kishwaukee Community Hospital.
Kishwaukee Community Hospital has earned a Certificate of Approval with Commendation as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center through the American College of Surgeons for providing high-quality, patient-centered cancer care. This recognition is earned by only one in four hospitals that treat cancer. KCH offers a broad spectrum of services and state-of-the art equipment; participates in research and clinical trials; collects data on type and stage of cancers and treatments; and offers ongoing patient follow-up and monitoring.
