State of emergency declared when asbestos found in park

Pawling, New York Town Supervisor David Kelly closed a local park and declared a state of emergency after asbestos waste was found nearby. The asbestos materials were inside a fenced-off area, and town officials closed Lakeside Park down for five days until the debris was removed. A day camp that uses the park and serves 191 children was out of session for several days during the park closure.
