Listeria immunotherapy evaluated in clinical trials for mesothelioma and other cancers

Aduro BioTech, a clinical-stage immunotherapy company in Berkeley, California, recently announced two important new patents that provide infringement protection of the “killed but metabolically active” (KBMA) Listeria platforms that make up the basis of company’s clinical research. Aduro’s live-attenuated Listeria vaccine platform has been shown to induce immune responses and to express exogenous disease antigens to help shrink tumors caused by mesothelioma and other cancers. The data from the clinical trials is currently being evaluated.
