Illinois developer pleads not guilty to asbestos charges

Developer Michael J. Pinski and his employee James A. Mikrut pleaded not guilty recently in a Kanakee, Illinois federal court on charges of improper asbestos removal and illegal dumping of the toxic material. The men are accused of dumping the asbestos debris in Hopkins Park in August 2009, along with a third man, Duane L. "Butch" O’Malley, also accused.
