Asbestos must be removed from old fertilizer plant before demolition
Demolition of the decrepit former Gro Mor fertilizer distribution facility in Plant City, Florida was delayed by the discovery of asbestos used in the building materials. The eyesore, located south of the historic downtown district, was purchased by the city for $600,000 using Community Redevelopment Agency funds. City officials hope to attract new business to the prime location once the 90 year old building comes down.
