Long-term mesothelioma survivor runs to raise awareness

Pompano Beach runner Larry Davis is a man on a mission. Davis was diagnosed years ago with mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer caused by asbestos exposure.  But now, years later, he spends his time raising awareness of the disease. Recently he made a trip to Washington to ask for support from Congress to declare September 26 National Mesothelioma Awareness Day and to gain support for funding mesothelioma research. Fifty congressmen joined the cause. Davis is proud of what his group accomplished, and he’s already on to the next race.
