Huron Learning Center moves to new location, old building gets renovated

The Huron Learning Center in Michigan is moving to a new facility, and teachers and staff couldn’t be happier. The new 32,000 square-foot facility features secure entrances, air conditioning and the latest technology. The building, completed in May, has classrooms, therapy rooms, isolation rooms, a nurse’s station, offices and preschool rooms. There are also observation areas with one-way glass where parents can observe their children and two playgrounds.

The old 9,200 square feet facility is being renovated for use as Huron Intermediate School District offices and a professional development center for area educators. Renovation of the building includes asbestos abatement and is expected to be completed by September and ready for the new school year.
