Baron & Budd says mesothelioma is a risk for career painters
Attorney John Langdoc from Baron & Budd, P.C. has worked with too many career painters with increased cancer risks due to their exposure to asbestos. Most career painters have no idea that they have ever worked around asbestos, but the toxic substance was widely used in block filler, texturing paint and drywall compounds for many years. Asbestos exposure can lead to serious illnesses like mesothelioma and lung cancer.
There is a long period of time between asbestos exposure and a mesothelioma diagnosis or onset of other asbestos-related diseases. Even low levels of exposure can put career painters at risk, and improper labeling means that many were complete unaware that products they used contained asbestos.
Langdoc and other attorneys from Baron & Budd have represented mesothelioma patients and their families for over 30 years, recently winning a substantial jury award for a career painter who developed mesothelioma as a result of his workplace exposure to asbestos.
