Jeff Gordon helps Extreme Makeover: Home Edition tackle asbestos-laden home
WWE wrestlers the Bella Twins, The Big Show and R-Truth joined Jeff Gordon and the cast of ABC’s Extreme Home Makeover to help out policeman Derrick Suggs and his wife Amanda, a young couple who adopted all of Amanda’s siblings to save them from foster care. They and the five children live in a house built in 1953 that Derrick inherited from his grandfather. Trying to support the family has left the young couple with little money for much needed repairs. The Extreme Makeover crew took on repairs that include removing damaged asbestos siding, which presented a special challenge. The show aired on Sunday, April 11.
