Former Texas church to become new town hall

In the spirit of preserving its cultural and architectural history, the Town of Argyle, Texas has decided to rescue the historic Argyle United Methodist Church and renovate it to become the new Town Hall. Historical records show that the land was deeded to the Prairie Mound Methodist Episcopal Church in 1882. Prairie Mound was succeeded by Argyle United Methodist, and the original buildings were preserved. Part of the renovation funding has been earmarked for mandatory asbestos remediation.
