Kentucky hospital demolition finishes up
Caldwell County Hospital in Princeton, Kentucky was cleared out in April so that contractor Demo Plus could complete demolition by May 1. The contractor’s winning bid was nearly $287,000, which included $69,000 for asbestos removal and took the value of salvageable materials into account.
Exterior demolition of the hospital building began in mid-March. Some local agencies and nonprofit groups were able to use some of the items that had remained in the building, but most of what was left was only good as scrap.
