Day of Renewal held for women with cancer
The Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes in Ithaca, New York held an affordable retreat at the La Tourelle Resort and August Moon Spa on Sunday, April 25. The cost was just $30 for any woman who has survived cancer – from ovarian cancer to mesothelioma – and the focus was on pampering, renewal and kinship with people who have shared experiences. Writing, yoga, meditation, flower arranging, aromatherapy and team challenges were offered to renew both mind and body. The fee was waived for women who were experiencing financial hardship.
