Rosetta Genomics obtains CAP accreditation

Rosetta Genomics has recently been awarded accreditation by the Laboratory Accreditation Program of the College of American Pathologists (CAP). CAP accreditation is now added to the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) certification awarded to the Rosetta Genomics laboratory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the ISO 13485 accreditation awarded to the Rosetta Genomics research and development laboratory in Israel.

CAP accreditation is a worldwide program based on meticulous standards and is recognized by the U.S. federal government as being on par with or more rigorous than its own inspection program. To earn the CAP accreditation, a laboratory has to pass an onsite inspection of its operations, assay validation and testing procedures.

From its CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited lab, Rosetta Genomics offers three molecular diagnostic tests, including miRview mets to identify metastatic cancer, miRview squamous to identify the squamous subtype of non small cell lung cancer and miRview meso to identify mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer caused by asbestos exposure.
