Costa Mesa DMV closes for a month for renovations

The lines are long at the Costa Mesa, California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), but renovations need to be done. The building closed on April 23 and is scheduled to reopen on June 1, leaving an average of 750 people per day to find another location in which to do business. Renovations will include replacement of asbestos floor tiles, repainting and other improvements intended to spruce the place up and make it safer. Customers are encouraged to use the online services or visit one of the nearby area offices during the renovations.
