Yankee Stadium demolition more difficult than anticipated

Yankee Stadium, the House that Ruth Built, has turned into quite a complicated project. Due to its location in the heart of a busy residential area in New York City, explosives cannot be used, making project delays inevitable. It took two months to remove asbestos from the site before the demolition project could begin. Demolition is expected to be complete in four months to make way for Heritage Field, a three-field ballpark.
