Music downloads benefit research for mesothelioma and other rare cancers
Paul Poth, an attorney based in Boston, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer known as hepatobiliary – bile duct – cancer. When he discovered how little was known about this type of cancer and how slim his treatment options were, he worked with his family to develop the Target Cancer charity. Sadly, four months later, in August 2009, he lost his battle with hepatobiliary cancer.
TargetCancer offers rare music downloads from a variety of artists who have agreed to work with the charity, donating their unreleased tracks for this worthy cause. People who want to hear the exclusive songs from these artists can set the price at what they are willing to pay for the track—with a 99-cent minimum. All the proceeds go to research treatments and cure possibilities for hepatobiliary cancer, and other rare forms of cancer such as mesothelioma.
