Sunset Bowl comes down after asbestos removal
Sunset Bowl in Ballard, Washington closed down in 2008 after 51 years of business. Developers had decided to build a six-story mixed-use building in its place. Work crews began asbestos removal and cutting the power lines in mid-January. Once that work was done, the demolition began. The iconic bowling alley had kept its classic traditions intact until it closed, including roasted cashews at the bar for $1.25.
