Queensbury school district begins $16.5 million project
This spring, the Queensbury Union Free School District in upstate New York will begin work on a $16.5 million campus improvement project. The project is expected to take two years to complete, with most of the work done during the summer. After the school district gets approval from the state Department of Education in February, they will put out a request for bids.
The project includes renovation and expansion of the middle school and construction of an addition to the transportation building. Asbestos abatement will be required in the middle school building as part of the renovation process. Lights and parking spaces will also be added around campus.
