University $5 million gift to cover asbestos removal, facility upgrades
The University of Tulsa College of Law in Oklahoma received a $5 million gift from Chapman Charitable Trusts to establish the Dean John Rogers Endowed Chair for the College of Law. This money will help fund a major renovation of John Rogers Hall, including asbestos abatement. Once the asbestos is removed from the building, future facility upgrades can be pursued that would not have been possible previously. The endowment will also provide salary compensation for the sitting dean to ensure that the college can secure and support talented leadership. Some of the funds will be used to support research and other professional activities.
