Summerlin Road asbestos not a health hazard according to officials

Based on air and soil tests conducted at the Summerlin Road construction site, Florida officials have concluded that the asbestos contamination did not pose a health hazard. Posen Construction workers carefully removed and disposed of asbestos-containing pipe from under the road, and the tests confirmed that the asbestos had not been released into the air or ground. Because the asbestos chunks found at the site have not impacted the soil, the dirt at the construction site will likely be able to stay. Additionally, officials claim that the asbestos contamination has not posed a threat to the health of construction workers or members of the public who have traveled by the site. However, It has still not bee determined whether or not the amount of asbestos contamination at the construction site exceeds the state’s legal limits.
