Former Industrial Tool and Die Co. building to be razed
The former Industrial Tool and Die Co. building in Troy, New York will be coming down in early 2010. The project is being overseen by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHA), as both organizations are funding the redevelopment with stimulus funding.
Including the cost of asbestos removal, the demolition project is estimated to cost $150,000. The city would not be reimbursed for the cost if they were to raze the building themselves under emergency condemnation procedures.
