Richardson Center Corporation gets $7.8 million for restoration
The Richardson Center Corporation in Buffalo, New York had already received about $2 million to help stabilize the historic Richardson complex. They have now received another $7.8 million from the state to complete more restoration work. Collapsed ceilings and water leaks have already been taken care of with the previous money. The new funding will be put toward asbestos abatement and electrical improvements next spring. After the complex has been stabilized, the group hopes to act on plans for a boutique hotel, architecture museum and visitors center. The public comment period was extended to January 15 due to the holidays.
