MD Anderson holds mesothelioma lecture about radiation therapy options
On November 10, MesoCare.org sponsored a lecture on Radiation Therapy Options for mesothelioma patients by Veronica Garza of MD Anderson Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer caused by asbestos exposure that is notoriously difficult to treat. The lecture was open to patients, family members and health care providers who are currently affected by asbestos-related diseases like mesothelioma and asbestos-related lung cancer. It was held at the International Rotary House at MD Anderson. The lecture was also made available online and via teleconference.
