Mesothelioma claims another victim, a GE retiree
Marvin R. Allen of Columbus, Ohio died of mesothelioma on November 21 at the age of 74. Allen graduated from New Lexington High School in 1953 before attending and graduating ICS Chicago. He spent 27 years working for General Electric Superabrasives until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of York Golf Club and York Lodge #563 F & AM.
Memorial services were held on November 24 at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home. His family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in his name to the Mesothelioma Research Foundation of America or the American Heart Association.
