Ice bomb from the sky forces woman and daughter out of home because of asbestos
Danielle Hagan of Brush, Colorado was watching a movie with her 9-year-old daughter when a blue ice bomb came through her roof. Hagan first thought that it was a natural gas explosion or something, but it was a basketball-sized chunk of blue ice that must have fallen from an airplane overhead. The roof was blown in and Hagan’s rafters were shattered. Because of the asbestos in her attic, she and her daughter have been forced out of their home. Asbestos is a known carcinogen that was commonly used in attic insulation for many years. Inhaling asbestos fibers can cause serious illnesses like lung cancer and mesothelioma. The asbestos contamination from the ice bomb must be cleaned up by qualified asbestos professionals before it will be safe for Hagan and her daughter to return to their home.
