Dr. Nicholas Vogelzang joins US Oncology Research network
Cancer researcher and medical oncologist Nicholas J. Vogelzang, MD joined the US Oncology Research network. He will be treating patients at the Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada, serving as Chair and Medical Director of the Developmental Therapeutics Committee and serving also as the Co-Chair of the Genitourinary Committee.
In his research, Dr. Vogelzang has developed new treatments for prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, testicular cancer and mesothelioma, a rare but serious form of cancer that is caused by asbestos exposure. For Dr. Vogelzang, joining the US Oncology Research network gives him greater access to clinical trials, more opportunity for translational research and more opportunity to include surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and hematologists in the research.
