Minnesota fire site asbestos cleanup awarded to Abestrol for $9,999
The city council of Austin, Minnesota awarded asbestos abatement and demolition bids for the cleanup of the Mi Terra fire site. Abestrol, Inc. submitted the low bid of $9,999 for asbestos removal, and BCM construction submitted the low bid of $107,600 for demolition work. The bids were approved by a vote of 5-0. Asbestos abatement is scheduled to begin on August 24, with demolition to begin on September 7. The project is expected to be completed by October 2.
