$4.3 million West Virginia roof project includes asbestos abatement

The Dunn Building in Berkley County, West Virginia needs to have its roof replaced. Some sections of the roof contain asbestos, requiring a specialized contractor to remove and contain the asbestos. The asbestos removal project will have an industrial hygienist on site, and downwind air samples will be taken. Boggs Environmental Consultants, Inc. will monitor the asbestos abatement.

Some of the workers in the Dunn Building will be relocated to protected areas during the asbestos abatement process. The roof project will cost $4.3 million, which also includes work on the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
