Town Hall building in Massachusetts begins $25k asbestos removal
The historic Provincetown Town Hall is undergoing an extensive asbestos removal project. The project will cost $25,470 to remove floor tiles, ceiling tiles and carpet that contain asbestos. It will take about one week to remove the asbestos from the first floor of the 123-year-old building. Contractors will take air samples before, during and after the asbestos removal process in order to make sure the toxic substance is completely removed. Once asbestos abatement is completed, building renovation will enter phase 2.
