Asbestos charity cyclists complete their Breathless Journey
Jason Appy, Paul Glanville, and Katrina London finished a 1,200 mile UK bike tour that took them from Glasgow to Hampshire to raise money and awareness for mesothelioma. The cyclists raised £14,000 during their tour, which took them through regions that have been hit hard by asbestos exposure and mesothelioma, particularly Southampton and Portsmouth.
The cyclists raised the funds for the Hampshire Asbestos Support Group to open a research center for asbestos-related diseases. The Breathless Journey bike ride ended at Mayflower Park in Southampton, where they were greeted by members of the Hampshire Asbestos Support Group.
