Mesothelioma patient’s dying wish to find a mentor for grandson

A former builder in the UK, John Jubb, was diagnosed with mesothelioma and given one year to live. He worked with asbestos-containing materials in the 1960s and never smoked or drank alcohol. Before his diagnosis, he thought he had pneumonia.

Jubb has been helping his 15-year-old step-grandson, Ryan Howarth, become a talented impersonator since he was just a small boy. With Jubb’s help, Howarth has raised thousands of pounds for charity as a mini-Elvis and Michael Jackson impersonator. He has received many awards and appeared on television – dancing on Calendar and appearing with Kurt Russell and Kevin Costner on German television – and he now wants to become an actor.

Seeing the end of his life approaching, Jubb’s dying wish is to find someone to serve as Howarth’s mentor after he is gone. He knows that Howarth would like to star in his favorite soaps, and he hopes to find a mentor for him who knows the business.
