Mesothelioma victim’s family wins $4 million verdict against gasket company

A Newport News, Virginia jury awarded $4 million to the family of a Navy veteran who died of mesothelioma just five weeks before trial. John Crane, a manufacturer of gaskets and other maintenance products that were used on Navy vessels, was held 30% responsible for the 75-year-old veteran’s disease and death.
