Marathoner running to raise funds for mesothelioma victims
Marathoner Miriam Roche competed in the Edinburgh Marathon on May 31 in honor of her father, who died of mesothelioma, and to raise money for an asbestos support group. Ms. Roche’s father died in April 2006 from the asbestos-related cancer. She describes him as a fit and athletic man before his diagnosis with the disease in late 2005.
