EPA sued over Libby cleanup report
Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER) has sued the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the release of the 2006 report written by a member of the EPA Office of Inspector General. The suit alleges that the report about the Libby environmental cleanup has been improperly withheld. According to PEER, the report discusses the public-health ramifications of the way the asbestos cleanup in Libby, Montana was handled by the EPA.
