The City Council of Big Spring, Texas has authorized an asbestos cleanup at the town’s historic Settles Hotel in downtown Big Spring. The $250,000 cleanup bill will be paid by Settles Hotel Development Company, a Dallas-based group that will take ownership of the historic building once the asbestos abatement is complete. Abatement Inc. and Honesty Environmental Services will perform the actual work.
