Suit against Colorado Springs apartment owners alleges negligence connected to asbestos contamination

The individual who started the fire that killed two in the Castle West apartments in Colorado Springs, Colorado is facing murder charges. The fire left hundreds of people homeless. Asbestos was also released during the fire, which contaminated residents’ belongings. Because of the asbestos contamination, their personal belongings had to be disposed of. Some former residents have sued the apartment owners and managers, claiming that they were negligent in not securing the building and in failing to disclose the presence of asbestos.
