Salem, Mass. power plant running again after explosion that covered main building with asbestos debris

Salem Harbor Station has gone back online five months after the explosion that killed three workers and sprayed asbestos-containing fly ash over the site. While the power plant was shut down, the employees assisted a team of over a hundred contractors in cleaning debris and asbestos-contaminated fly ash from the main plant building. The cleanup is still not completed and will continue over the next few weeks. The cause of the boiler explosion has still not been determined.
