Doctor to the Queen of England has been forced to leave his post because of mesothelioma diagnosis

Dr. Ian Campbell, Apothecary to the Royal Household at Sandringham for 15 years, has quit his job since being diagnosed with pleural mesothelioma, a cancer that attacks the lining around the lungs. He attributes his disease to his work for a pharmaceutical company 40 years ago, where he was exposed to asbestos. In his teens and early 20s, Dr. Campbell worked at a pharmaceutical plant where he polished, shaped and drilled an asbestos-containing plastic.
