Asbestos contamination destroys a career’s work for one school teacher

Earlier this year, when a truck crashed through the wall of a British primary school and into a classroom, the asbestos that was released by the impact contaminated everything in the classroom. The teacher burst into tears when she learned that everything in her classroom, which represented 20 years of work, would have to be thrown out. The truck was stolen and crashed into the school by a 21-year-old man, who now has been convicted and will be sentenced next month. The accident caused £7,844 in damage to the building, but the loss to the teacher and her students is a separate tragedy.
