New Hampshire companies pay $90,000 in asbestos-related fines

Kane Management Group LLC and its affiliate 85 Industrial Park II LLC will pay $90,000 in fines because they used unlicensed workers to remove asbestos. In 2002, the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services found out that unlicensed workers were removing asbestos flooring from a Dover industrial building. New Hampshire law only allows licensed abatement contractors to remove or abate asbestos. The state has announced that $10,000 of the penalties will pay for educational projections on air pollution and climate change.
