Asbestos will be removed from the ceiling of the adult probation offices located on the third floor of the Newark, Ohio Municipal Building in August. The asbestos was discovered in June after workers cut into asbestos-containing ceiling plaster, which resulted in employees being exposed to asbestos dust for six working days. Asbestos is linked to mesothelioma and other diseases.
