Two wings of Kansas City Regional Medical Center shut down after asbestos found in construction debris
The Kansas City Health Department has ordered two wings of the fourth floor of Regional Medical Center sealed after a sampling of construction debris tested positive for asbestos. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating whether workers were exposed to asbestos during renovation work at the hospital. Asbestos can cause the cancer mesothelioma and other diseases.
