Massena, NY elementary school charged with illegal asbestos removal

The Department of Labor has charged Jefferson Elementary School of Massena, New York for violating a law requiring licensed asbestos workers to remove asbestos from buildings, according to the Watertown Daily Times. Asbestos removal was done by workers during spring break who were not licensed to work with asbestos. One of the workers filed a complaint with the Department of Labor.
