Website provides helpful information about when to go to Emergency Room

The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) offers a website that provides helpful information to the public, including tips to help decide when a patient should go to the emergency room. If you have any of the following symptoms, the website recommends a visit to the emergency room: difficulty breathing; chest or upper abdominal pain or pressure; sudden dizziness; fainting; changes in vision; persistent vomiting; or persistent diarrhea. The site also recommends that you be ready to provide the hospital staff with information about your medications, immunizations, and allergies, and includes a medical history form for you to have ready to bring with you.
